Through there is growing recognition of the many difficulties this population experiences, there is much less clear consensus about evidence-based, best practice for intervention with this population. The present paper highlights the importance of the challenges faced by E/BD youth for practice and social policy; summarizes what is known about this population and these challenges through a comprehensive review of the literature; identifies extant, best practice intervention models; and concludes by offering a theory-informed template for future research and program development
