Abstract
This project translated five short stories into English from the writer Wolf Wieviroka (also spelled Volf Vevyorke) from his Yiddish book Mizrekh un mayrev [East and West] (1936). This project also translated a chapter from Bilder un geshtaltn fun Monparnas [Scenes and figures of Montparnasse] (1963) by Chil Aronson (also know as Khil Aron) about Helena Rubinstein. The translations are accompanied by a short biography of the authors and the Yiddish literary scene in interwar Paris.
