Abstract
Advanced in this clinical study is a nodel for :p3ychotherapeutic treatment of the borderline patient, directed to his narcissistic needs and vulnerabilities. The project expresses an effort to identify the prominent narcissistic issues believed to be specific to the borderline subject, and to devise and field a course of treatment intended to articulate therapeutically with those dimensions of personality. It was hoped that exploratory clinical utilization of the nodel would cast some light on its relevance to the service needs of a population with which we have had limited clinical success.
