Abstract

We study the thermodynamic properties of Heisenberg spins on the frustrated Triangular Kagome Lattice (TKL) in zero external magnetic eld. We use exact diagonalization tech- niques on a small-model approximation of the TKL with a total of 9 spins to approximate the energy eigenstates and nd the approximate speci c heat and magnetic susceptibility of the TKL. We compare the results of the speci c heat to that of a TKL with Ising spins. In the Heisenberg spin TKL we see a shift of the maximum towards lower temperatures as well as the emergence of a shoulder in the low temperature tail that is not in the TKL with Ising spins.
